The Most Expensive Jewels In The World

Emerald and Diamond Tiara

Value: $12.7 Million

Who wouldn’t want a tiara? This classically beautiful emerald and diamond tiara was created around 1900. It was originally in the possession of Princess Katharina Henckel von Donnersmarck as its primary owner. The crown was commissioned by the princess’s husband and she owned it for most of her life.

It is notable for the emeralds used in its design—specifically, what makes the tiara stand out from others are the 11 rare Columbian pear-shaped emeralds at the top of the piece. In weight alone, the emeralds are said to weigh a total of 500 carats. In addition to silver, gold and several ‘smaller’ diamonds in the tiara, there are 11 large cushion-shaped diamonds.

Heart of the Kingdom Ruby Necklace

Value: $14 Million

The Heart of the Kingdom Ruby Necklace comes from The House of Garrard, which is the oldest jewelry house in the world. Up until 2007, the Crown Jeweller who was responsible for maintaining the British Crown Jewels had the necklace. You have to know that whatever they make is of the highest quality and, likely, price.

Created by Garrard, the Heart of the Kingdom ruby necklace is a very famous piece. The necklace has a large 40.63 carat Burmese ruby as its center. Accompanying the red gemstone is 155 carats of diamonds to form the necklace. It is reported that this jewelry can be turned into a tiara if you’re feeling more like a princess than an heiress.
