The Most Expensive Jewels In The World

The Bvlgari Blue

Value: $15.7 Million

The Bvlgari Blue is a rather unconventional looking diamond ring. It utilizes two different colored diamonds; the heart of the design is composed of a 10.95 carat triangular cut fancy-vivid blue diamond and a 9.87 carat triangular cut diamond. The diamonds are mounted onto a gold band. The gold band even has baguette diamonds embedded in it.

The ring was created in the early 1970s and was initially purchased for $1 million, which was definitely a lot of money then. It was going to be a gift for the wife of a European collector. But in 2010, when the ring came up for sale again, experts believed it would fetch around $12 million—not a bad haul!

If you know anything about jewelry, you know that blue diamonds are considered one of the rarest gemstones. They are found near boron deposits. Boron is an element that helps the diamond get its distinct color. Chopard has added triangular cut diamonds to the sides and mounted it on an 18-carat white gold band along with the oval cut diamond. Basically this ring is made up of diamonds, diamonds, and more diamonds!
