Twins Adopted To Different Parents Didn’t Know About Each Other Until Now

Family History Pays Off

Elizabeth had searched for her sister over the years, but had never been successful. She’d had no luck in tracing where she might have gone, or what name she was given. As she said, “I thought – being adopted, she could be anywhere in the world. It was amazing to me that she was still in Aldershot.”

And, of course, the final breakthrough didn’t come for Elizabeth. Instead, it was when Ann’s daughter, Samantha, uncovered evidence in her family tree research that Ann appeared to have a sister. She traced Elizabeth all the way to the U.S., and then eventually told her mother: “She’s your twin!”
