This Young Ballerina Lost Her Leg To Cancer, But Was Able To Dance Again Thanks To A Revolutionary Surgery
Gabi Shull was nine-years-old when she lost part of her leg to cancer. A rare form of bone cancer targetted her knee, forcing doctors to operate. While it appeared as though young Gabi would never dance or play sports again, doctors were able to salvage what little mobility she had left thanks to a revolutionary surgery.
Now 15-years-old, Gabi is enrolled in several dance classes, including hip-hop, jazz, and ballet. Moreover, Gabi is a national spokeswoman for children’s cancer awareness. Watch the video below for more of her story.
