Apparently, the sandwich thief took the child comment to heart. Instead of owning up to their actions and apologizing, they decided to respond with an equally passive-aggressive note.

The thief’s response was rather immature, but perhaps they were trying to make light of the everyday workplace boredom by playing games. We wouldn’t disagree with that, but we can’t say we’d respond the same way.
