This one will be easy to remember if you mastered your 3rd-grade shapes. A tablet is flat and circular compressed medicine, but a pill is a vessel for any medication and can be any shape. A tablet can be classified as a pill, but a pill can’t be a tablet. Similar to how a square can be a rectangle, but a rectangle can’t be a square.
It expands when you factor in capsules and caplets. Once again, both of these can be labeled as pills, but a pill isn’t always a capsule or caplet.
