Misty’s Job Provided Major Temptation

So, we all know dieting is difficult – that’s a fact – but dieting when you’re surrounded by junk food you can’t have is even more torturous. This was the reality for Misty who was tempted every single day she showed up for work.

Misty’s husband might be in the military, but for extra income, she works at a supermarket as a personal shopper. It’s almost impossible for her to not be tempted by the wafting smells of hot fried chicken during lunch time. Thankfully, in addition to the very-tempting hot bar, her supermarket has a salad bar, warm veggies and baked chicken.

Misty Gets a Meal Plan

The best way to stick with a diet is to have a solid, unbreakable meal plan. Misty starts the morning with oatmeal and fruit or a cereal bar. When she has some more time in the mornings because she’s not rushing out to work, she opts for sausage and eggs or pancakes. Pancakes are a carb-load, but Misty swears it’s a portion-controlled treat. She also snacks at 10 a.m. with carrots or a piece of fruit.

For lunch, Misty usually hits up her work salad bar and has a healthy salad or half a sandwich with a side of veggies or fruit. If she’s still hungry in the afternoon, she opts for a healthy snack like yogurt. For dinner, she’ll eat lean meat, veggies and a very small portion of carbs.
