After covering five MLB teams with the St. Louis Cardinals/Browns, Oakland Athletics, Chicago White Sox/Cubs, Harry Caray passed away on February 18. Outside of calling ball games, Caray’s famous seventh-inning stretch singing “Take Me Out To The Ball Game” began during his tenure with the White Sox.

Following his death, during the entire 1998 seasons, the Cubs wore a patch on the sleeves of their uniforms that depicted a caricature of Caray. When the Cubs won the 2016 World Series, Budweiser produced a celebratory commercial featuring Caray’s call of the game using archived footage.
