Zenaida Gonzalez – The Rest of the Story

Casey Anthony’s legal team argued that Zenaida Gonzalez was just trying to make money off the case, and that the defamation should be thrown out. The lawyers had, after all, argued in court that the babysitter was a “fictional person.” A judge later dismissed the case, but that wasn’t the last we would hear about Zenaida Gonzalez.

While you might have felt sorry for Zenaida when she was the apparent victim of lies and mistaken/fictional identity, she was arrested (for real this time) in 2016, with charges of credit card theft and grand theft. According to police reports, she and Jonathan Acevedo were accused of stealing a cancer-patient’s credit card while he was going through treatment, and then using it to go on a spending spree through Walmart, Sports Authority, and Home Depot.
