In June of 2005, the police searched the area where Jones had admitted to dumping the bodies but their search came up empty. Soon after, Jones also recanted his confession. Another killer by the name of Tommy Lynn Sells also admitted to murdering and kidnapping the girls.

Now it has turned into a wild goose chase. Back to where they were before the first confession. People coming forward taking claim for this is just strange, to say the least, but it could have some impact on their lives, who knows. They could also just be admitting to the crime for the fun of it. It could be something that amuses them due to their wild nature and criminal background. Something to do at their leisure if you will. You can’t really figure it out unless they told you but it’s still head scratching.
