It only took one day for Lauria’s parents to spring into action and help find the missing girls. When they went over to the rubble the next day they found something the police didn’t and that was the body of Danny Freeman, the father. They also saw that he had also been shot at the house and that the property was set ablaze on purpose.

This eliminates Danny Freeman as a lead doesn’t it? Unless he did it and then committed suicide and told the girls to escape. At the end of the day, it would seem that he did not have a hand in this disaster. The Bibles stepping in helped big time and the police department should be ashamed of themselves for not being able to find the body and letting regular civilians be the ones to find Danny. More findings like this only help in figuring out what happened to the girls.
