When reputable news organizations fact check news, they flag content that intentionally tries to deceive its audience or that is fabricated. President Trump has a history of using the term to describe coverage that is unsympathetic to him, his administration, and his causes. During an interview with conservative pundit and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Trump explained: “Look, the media is fake.
