Teenager’s Abduction Turned Her Into A Different Person

In March of 2017 an Amber Alert was issued in Tennessee. A fifteen-year-old girl named Elizabeth Thomas had disappeared without a trace. Shortly into their investigation, police discovered that it was no mystery who would have taken Elizabeth. Authorities discovered Elizabeth was most certainly with her fifty-year-old teacher, Tad Cummins.

Tad was both a father and a grandfather and a local teacher at Culleoka Unit High School in Maury County Tennessee. Elizabeth was only a freshman in high school and the two had recently met at the beginning of that school year. Shortly before Elizabeth’s disappearance, Tad had been accused of kissing Elizabeth in his classroom. Of course, in kidnapping cases like these, the families often expect the worst outcome. Elizabeth’s family pled for her safe return. Tad’s family was not only ashamed of what their husband, father, and grandfather had done, but they were undoubtedly concerned with the safety of the minor involved as well.
