We’re glad someone finally said it, because after taking a deep look at Tom and Jerry it’s clear that Tom was just wasting his time.

Is this a metaphor for life? Tom and Jerry ran for 18 years without Jerry being caught. Were we all investing time that wasn’t worth the reward? This is as much of a waste as your first high school relationship.
