The United States is not alone in its description of the ongoing atrocities taking place in Myanmar. Previously, French President Emmanuel Macron gave a similar opinion alongside Muslim leaders from around the world. U.N. envoy Nikki Haley also gave a similar statement where she told the Security Council that the situation was “a brutal, sustained campaign to cleanse the country of an ethnic minority.” In this photo, a crying young Rohingya refugee boy attempts to climb on a local NGO truck at the Balukali refugee camp.
