The Police Chief now does not find John to be a credible witness. The team is extremely distraught and confused. They cannot understand what motives John would have for lying. Did he want publicity, like Joran? Did he do it for the thrill of being arrested? They can’t shake the thought that there is some truth to what he has told them, but there is nothing they can do about it. They all leave Aruba, and Dave and the team cut ties with John and Gabriel.
