Most Terrifying Things About America’s First Serial Killer

Remember Jack The Ripper?

Jack the Ripper rose to prominence after a string of murders hit the Whitechapel district of London in 1888. The culprit of the murders has yet to be identified, but the murderer was dubbed “Jack the Ripper” after a fake letter from someone claiming to be the terrifyingly brutal murderer.

More details…

The letter was known as the “Dear Boss” letter, in which the killer claims that he thinks he’s about to be caught but he still details what he plans to do next. Jack the Ripper’s murders primarily involved female prostitutes. He would slit their throats before mutilating their abdominal region to harvest their organs. The murders were absolutely horrifying and they remain the subject of public fascination over one hundred years later. It has often been theorized that perhaps the murderer was actually a doctor as the person who committed the murders seems to had some kind of knowledge about anatomy.
