It was that same speed and efficiency that he created which would ultimately end his life. The printing pressed worked in a way that saw images get printed and then put on a roller so that it could be printed on any substrate.
One day he was a little careless and got his foot stuck in the machine during an ongoing installation. Later, William got gangrene and had to get his foot amputated and would die because of complications during surgery.
