Inventors Who Maybe Should’ve Read The Manual Of Their Own Invention That Ended Up Killing Them
Valerian Abakosky
Abakosky invented the Areocar, also known as the Aerowagon, which was a steam-powered, propeller-driven rail car intended to get railway executives quickly across the vast lands of Siberia.
In 1921, the twenty-five-year-old Abakovsky was whirling around a group of big shot execs and took a corner too fast. He came in at 80 mph and the Aerocar went airborne, killing six people including Abakosky.
