Inventors Who Maybe Should’ve Read The Manual Of Their Own Invention That Ended Up Killing Them
Alexander Bogdanov
Bogdanov was a Russian physician, writer, politician, and inventor. He was a major player in the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution and ended up in jail. He was able to talk his way out of jail and began practicing medicine again. He was obsessed with blood and blood transfusions.
He was certain that the secret to the fountain of youth was through blood. To prove his point, he transfused his blood with someone who had malaria and tuberculosis. He died two days later in 1928 but the patient slowly got better, weirdly enough.
