Seen as one of the three most important figures in Chinese history in the opinion of many scholars, Li Si had quite the life. He was the Prime Minister of China’s Qin Dynasty up until 208 BC and he was a ruthless punisher. He killed criminals using five punishments that he created for his region, and they would ultimately be used against him in the end.

The five penalties were making facial tattoos, cutting off the nose, removing kneecaps and hips, eliminating reproductive organs and death sentence by boiling alive or tearing limbs apart. He got charged with treason and was sentenced to death by getting sliced in half by a sword, a punishment he created.
