St. Peter’s Basilica: Vatican, Italy
Here is another bronze statue that just commands the hands and lips of those who come to visit it. Located inside St. Peter’s Basilica is this statue made by Arnolfo di Cambio way back in the 13th century. People are drawn to it like a magnet. They touch and or kiss his foot while praying for a blessing.
They had to add a guard so they keep the flow of people coming in moving steadily. But you can imagine that sometimes it gets hectic, still. We wonder how many people get the blessing they wanted after kissing that foot?
