Yes, those are real bones and they are there by the dozen. This place is carved beneath the French capital very deep and has human bones from millions of ex-Parisians that go back a thousand years! They got the bones from old cemeteries because they were causing health hazards due to overuse.

This place has been open to the public since the nineteenth century. The grounds are damp and crawling with germs from these old bones that ages old. This girl in the picture above seems to have no problem with these bones and is having a great time.
