Children were Given Bags of Cocaine Instead of Sweets while Trick-or-Treating in Greater Manchester

On Halloween 2012, young children were given bags of cocaine instead of sweets while trick-or-treating for Halloween. A 23-year-old man has been charged with possession of class A drugs following the incident in Greater Manchester the night before. The group of elementary school-aged children was given snap bags of white powder when they rang the doorbell at a house in Mendip Close, Royton. Their parents contacted authorities around 7:50 pm when the youngsters returned and emptied their bags. Police said none of the children had ingested the drug, which was later found to be cocaine.
