In the end, many people, such as Jimmy Hollis and his girlfriend Mary Jeanne Larey, Richard Griffin, and his girlfriend Polly Ann Moore, Paul Martin, Betty Jo Booker, and Virgil and Katie Starks, were either attacked and escaped or killed by the serial killer. No one has ever been caught and the investigation remains a cold case.
