Surprisingly, Stephen Hawking’s name doesn’t appear on any of the Time Top 100 influential people lists. However, Time has only been publishing that list since 2004. Had it been around in the 1970’s, Hawking would have definitely been listed for his work in quantum mechanics and quantum gravity.
