Piers Morgan is a British journalist and television personality. He wrote a column for the Daily Mail titled, “Thank you Professor Stephen Hawking – a genius of extraordinary courage and determination who showed the world’s whiners that self-pity is a pathetic waste of life.”

A year ago, Morgan asked Hawking how he would like to spend his last day alive. Hawking replied, “Being with my family, listening to Wagner, while sipping Champagne in the summer sun.” Hopefully, Hawking’s last day was as peaceful and as blissful as he hoped.
