Much of the world is on lockdown or at least practicing social distancing, right now. This means that a ton of fun activities and events have been postponed or even canceled. But some celebs aren't going to let a little quarantine get in the way of celebrating important events like birthdays.
Celebrations look a little different these days and it takes a lot more creativity to "party during a pandemic," but these celebs pulled it off. Read on to see what your favorite stars did for their birthdays during the quarantine. There's even a wedding in here! Cheers to that!
Zach Braff Took A Nap
Scrubs star Zach Braff turned 45 on April 6, and his girlfriend Florence Pugh wasn't about to let it go by quietly despite the quarantine. She shared a photo of Braff taking a much-deserved snooze with their pup.
"Today we shall smile wider than the clouds are grey," wrote the 24-year-old actress and musician. "April 6th and we're celebrating hard! Happy Birthday wishes, boogies and cheers for this special person. Raise those bubbles and jiggle!” We'll toast to that!
SJP Had An Unforgettable 55th Birthday
Sex and the City icon Sarah Jessica Parker celebrated her 55th time around the sun on March 25 and shared a series of photos. "A birthday was celebrated. Decades old streamers found a purpose. 1 piece of tape doing double duty. Old paint producing new works by 10 year old hands. This one will never be forgotten," she wrote.
Along with this photo of some delicious-looking ice cream (which fans guessed is black raspberry chip flavor), SJP also posted pics of a painting project and yellow streamers hanging in a doorway. The pic of her in the stunning dress is from pre-coronavirus days.
Jonathan Van Ness Turned 33 In 'Quaran-Queen'
Queer Eye grooming expert and television personality Jonathan Van Ness always makes the best of any situation. He shared a photo of himself sipping a Bloody Mary on a waterfront deck on his March 28th birthday. "For my 33rd birthday I'm serving a non binary causal Princess Diana with a Bloody Mary vibe in Quaren-Queen... thanks for all the love!!" he wrote.
Pal Reese Witherspoon chimed in: "Does Quaren-Queen know the Tiger King ? Happy Birthday, babe!!"
Gwynyth Paltrow And Chris Martin's Son Got A Socially Distant Birthday Parade
Since Gwyneth Paltrow couldn't throw her son Moses a party with his friends, they did something different for his 14th birthday. His friends threw a "socially distant" driveway parade for the birthday boy! They drove by holding up signs and honking their horns.
Paltrow also posted a sweet tribute along with some photos of Moses. "This kid is the best and he is 14 today. Unbelievable. He is the kindest little man and he has the most unique way of looking at the world and expressing himself. Mosey, I could not be more proud of you in every way."
Elton John Celebrated His 73rd With Family And Music
The legendary singer, known for his over-the-top outfits and performances, had a more subdued birthday celebration this year but it still included music! John turned 73 on March 25 and shared a video of his husband and their sons singing "Happy Birthday" to him at their home. There was cake, of course.
The star looked emotional as his two sons sang. "Grateful for the best birthday ever with my family," he wrote.
Leslie Mann Had A Family Dance Party
Actress Leslie Mann performed a full choreographed dance routine for her March 26 birthday. She was joined by her husband, actor/filmmaker Judd Apatow, and their kids as they did a celebratory dance in a hallway all decked out with decorations.
Everyone even wore special custom t-shirts emblazoned with Mann's photo. As for the birthday girl, she was feeling much younger than her 48 years. "I turned 15 today," She joked.
Kelly Ripa Wished Hubby Mark Consuelos A Happy Birthday Online
TV host Kelly Ripa and her husband Mark Consuelos are very open about their relationship on social media, often sharing personal details with fans. When Consuelos turned 49 on March 30, his wife took to Instagram with a birthday video montage filled with special moments like the one pictured.
"Happy birthday @instasuelos," she wrote, and added a cake emoji as a special touch. "There's nobody I’d rather be locked down with than you." Consuelos replied, "Grazie Amore" (thanks, sweetheart).

The English singer and songwriter turned 32 on March 27 and made sure that the day wasn't just about her. Instead, she put on a performance via Instagram live in order to help others.

Reba McEntire has a lot going for her. So the country singer, songwriter, producer, and actress wasn't going to let a little quarantine get in the way of celebrating the big 6-5 on March 28. "Starting my birthday out with wonderful birthday breakfast of coffee, bacon and pancakes/crepes made by my brother-in-law #markeaton," she wrote, ending with "Yee-haw freckles!!!" Looks delish!
She later shared this glam pic of herself and had a comforting message for fans. "The arenas and theaters may be empty right now, but I know we're going to beat this thing and be back together again soon."
Bindi And Chandler Moved Their Wedding Up
Television personality and conservationist Bindi Irwin surprised fans when she and her fiance Chandler Powell announced that they'd gotten married on March 25! Although they had a large wedding planned, the lovebirds decided to hold a very small ceremony at the family's zoo, just hours before the Australian government banned large gatherings.
The 21-year-old daughter of the late "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin shared details about the wedding with People. "It was a tough decision but absolutely the right one...even if it wasn't by-the-book perfect, it was our perfect." Her 16-year old brother Robert walked her down the aisle in their dad's place.
How Did Mariah Carey Celebrate The Big 5-0?
We bet that songstress Mariah Carey never imagined that she'd have such a low-key celebration when she turned 50 years old, but the coronavirus has changed everything. The pop diva took it all in stride and had a great time anyway, sharing cake with her twins, Moroccan and Monroe.
"Spent 3.27 at home with my family and virtually with fans and friends from all over the world. Thank you for all the love," she wrote. The chocolate cake had number 12 candles (instead of 50), about which Carey commented, "#eternally12."

Superstar Lady Gaga is anther celeb whose birthday took place during the quarantine, turning 34 on March 28. She went on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (via video, of course) and shared details about the low-key celebration.

Chris D'Elia Took A Hike
The stand-up comedian, actor, writer, and podcast host Chris D'Elia is best known for his work on the sitcoms Whitney, The Good Doctor, and Undateable. For his 40th birthday, he went on a refreshing hike in the woods. As we can see, this was on day 13 of quarantine.
He's been encouraging fans to stay home in these trying times. "I am not out and about now. You shouldn't be either," he shared. "Stay quarantined and don’t be an idiot. If I had to cancel my shows then you gotta not go party. Just chill."

A Germ-Covered Birthday Cake For YouTube Star Juanpa Zurit!
YouTube sensation Juanpa Zurit turned 24 years old on March 29. As expected, he celebrated with a cake... but this was not your everyday birthday cake. Instead, it was a virus-themed cake, decorated to look like a big germ. There was even a bottle of hand sanitizer and a roll of toilet paper on the side.
He had an important and thoughtful message to share with his many fans. "Everything I need is with my family, my friends and genuinely enjoy what I do and not in seeking to perfect it, if not let it be! And most importantly, be present," he wrote. "Excuse me if I am very philosophical but also consider that I have been locked up for 15 days. I am happy and grateful to live this birthday like this, because it has a lot to learn from this time."

Remaining in social isolation has forced many of us to slow down. When musician and actress Fergie turned 45 on March 27, she took the time to enjoy all the beautiful things growing in her garden. "Walked outside this morning & saw these.... Grateful for the gift of these natural creations on my 45th birthday," she shared.

Country Star Thomas Rhett Had A Family-Filled Thirtieth
Country music singer and songwriter Thomas Rhett Akins Jr. turned 30 years old on March 30, and it was a day filled with family and fun. He shared the festivities with fans on Instagram, including video of his wife Lauren as she struggled to open a bottle of champagne (before spraying it everywhere).

Actress/comedian Jenny Slate and her fiance, writer/artist Ben Shattuck both had birthdays during the quarantine. On Slate's 38th birthday, March 25, she wrote, "Hello Earth. I am glad to be here, during all and any times." She also shared a photo of some sweet paper airplane bday messages from her mother-in-law. How creative!
Shattuck's birthday was the very next day, and Slate shared a tribute to him. "Happy Birthday to a kooky MA prince, the man called @benshattuck_art who has his birthday one day after my own and who has made my life extremely good and fun and who is my cosmic twin."
Celebrity Chef Tom Colicchio Made A Special Treat For His Son's Birthday
Even world-famous chefs are having to get creative in the kitchen these days as it's harder and harder to get groceries. The Top Chef judge used his cooking experience for his son's birthday on March 23. "Today was my sons 9th birthday, I had to improvise," he wrote on Instagram along with this photo.
The dessert was concocted with Rice Krispies treats, mini black-and-white cookies, and sour cream. “#Cookinginacrisis,” Colicchio wrote. Hey, that looks pretty tasty to us!
