Apple’s New iOS 13 Is Finally Here
The latest version of Apple's iOS is available to download as of today - as long as you have an iPhone 6s or newer. There are a number of significant changes included in the update, some more exciting than others.
One of the most highly anticipated updates that comes with iOS 13 is the introduction of Dark Mode. Users will get the option to have a dark background for their software, which is said to be easier on both the eyes and battery life.
The keyboard also gets an upgrade with the new QuickPath keyboard. It will allow users to swipe-to-type, similar to how Google's Gboard works. If you don't like the sound of this, you will be able to disable it in the settings.
There's also a new privacy feature that lets you log into third-party apps or websites using your Apple ID, similar to when a website asks you to use your Facebook login.
Apple Arcade is also available today for $4.99 a month. With the installation of iOS 13 you'll be given the chance to have a one-month free trial. The subscription service gives you access to a growing library of more than 100 exclusive games.
These updates are just a glimpse of the many new features in the software update. The Reminders, Apple Maps and Camera apps all also got upgrades worth checking out. The update is available throughout the day depending on your timezone.
But make sure you backup your device first to protect your data! Apple recommends it in case something were to happen to your phone during the update.
