A Glimpse Into The World’s Greenest City
Climate change and the environment is a hot-button topic in today's world. For one city in Sweden, it seems to have it at the top of their priority list, as it's the world's greenest city. Gothenburg, Sweden has been the reigning champ of sustainability since 2016 on the Global Destination Sustainability Index.

The city of Gothenburg consists of 2,950 square feet of green space per citizen. The local airport, Landvetter Airport, has held the highest level of Airport Carbon Accreditation since 2011, meaning it is completely carbon neutral.
Its airport isn't the only transportation that's sustainable in the city. If you plan on visiting the city, 65% of its easily accessible transportation runs on renewable energy. On top of that, 92% of the lodging in Gothenburg is eco-certified by regional sustainability organizations.
One of the coolest things about the Swedish city is that they have a theme park called Liseberg. The rides in the park are run entirely on renewable wind energy.
Thanks to all of this high-tech, sustainable, and amazing research coming out of the city, the hub's population is expected to grow by a third over the next 15 years. Would you consider a move to Sweden to reduce your carbon footprint?
