Inside The Fundamentalist Church of the Latter Day Saints
Warren Jeffs, Leader Of The FLDS Church, Is A Convicted Pedophile
In 2002, Warren Jeffs became the leader of the FLDS church after his father passed away. His leadership is vastly controversial because Jeffs is currently serving a life sentence for sex crimes against two minors. He was also charged and not convicted on various counts of incest and rape.
During the trial, DNA evidence found that Jeffs fathered a child with a 15-year-old bride and graphic audio recordings were released depicting Jeffs sexually assaulting a 12-year-old and telling minors how to sexually please him. Jeffs made the girls believe that sexually pleasing him would please God, and they would be atoned of their sins if they complied.
