Using His Dogs As A Tactic

Vladimir Putin adores his three dogs Buffy, Yume, and Verni so much that he takes them almost everywhere he goes. Back in 2007, Putin was accused of scaring the German Chancellor Angela Merkel with them as an intimidation tactic. In a diplomatic meeting discussing Russia supplying energy to Germany, Putin brought his black labrador along with him, aware that Angela was afraid of them after being attacked as a child. Although this can not be proven to be true, it would have been a relatively innocent yet effective tactic on Putin’s part.
