Back in 2015, a gold-plated Apple Watch with the signature of Vladimir Putin was released to the public. For just $3,000, you too could be as stylish as the Russian president and show your unwavering support. The watch is produced by the Russian-Italian jewelry brand Caviar Perna Penna and costs 197,000 rubles which is around $3,000. The company described the watch as being “the best form of patriotism”, yet the production was halted after Putin spokesperson Dimitri Peskov announced that the Presiden didn’t approve of his likeness being used by manufacturers for personal gain in their business. The watch coined the “Putinwatch” is limited to 999 units and can be seen worn by top managers of corporations in Moscow.
