Times Activists Made Their Voices Heard in 2016

Women’s March

In Seattle, women marched to take a stand against hate and promote the importance of equal rights. Over 1,000 participated in the march, mostly women but also included men and children. Many of the women who marched expressed that they were doing it because of the results of the recent election, which elected Donald Trump for president in 2017. “This is active resistance,” Alante Fields told The Seattle Times. “I want to let (Trump) know we are not going to sit back and let him destroy this country.”
