The Most Expensive Jewels In The World

The Diamond Bikini

Value: $30 Million

OK, most women aren’t that excited to wear a bikini but it is safe to say that many women would make an exception for this bikini. It’s not made of fabric and it is very revealing. It doesn’t leave much to the imagination! This $30 million diamond bikini is designed by Susan Rosen.

It is a “bikini” made up of 150 carats worth of diamonds, set in platinum. Even by bikini standards, it’s very skimpy. Sports Illustrated Model Molly Sims wore it in 2006, and definitely turned a lot of heads. Sims was a little uncomfortable with two things when wearing the bikini—the value of the bikini and the fact it didn’t really cover much of anything.

The Zoe Diamond

Value: $32.6 Million

If your name is Zoe, this diamond may be calling your name! In 2014, Rachel Mellon’s prized collection came up for auction at Sotheby’s. She was the wife of the late philanthropist Paul Mellon. The high point of her remarkable collection was the Zoe diamond. It was definitely the most sought after by potential buyers.

The Zoe stone was classified as a 9.75 carat fancy vivid blue diamond (yes, blue again!) Originally, it was expected to go for around $15 million, but the Zoe diamond shocked everyone—the winning bid came in at about twice that—a whopping $32.6 million. It is not only the most expensive blue diamond in the world but also the most expensive diamond in terms of price-per-carat ($3.3 million).
