A Tragic End To A Tragic Accident

This story has a bittersweet ending. Bryant fell to the ground and was severely injured, but died later that night. Her goddaughter survived the 50-foot fall because it is presumed that her aunt broke her fall. This is truly tragic since they were just about to be saved before tragedy struck. The striking photos of the event were captured by photographer Stanley Forman, who rushed to the scene upon hearing about the building fire. Forman recalls of the incident, “I was shooting pictures as they were falling – then I turned away. It dawned on me what was happening and I didn’t want to see them hit the ground. I can still remember turning around and shaking.”
