The Slump That Apple Fell Into

By 1980, Jobs and Wozniak’s sales had reached $200 million. But after that, they started to see their sore decline. Although Jobs marketed their Macintosh computers for being easy to use, it was still too expensive for general consumers. In addition to that, even businesses were not keen on investing in Macintosh computers because they had no hard drive, no networking capabilities, and very little memory. Eventually, this lead to Jobs being ousted from his own company and the steep decline in Apple sales during this time is likely what lead to the success of Microsoft PC’s in the ’90s.
