Bill Gates’ Business Strategy

It was during the mid-’90s that Gates essentially revolutionized the way that the world uses computers. He and a partner started Microsoft in Albuquerque, New Mexico after Gates decided to drop out of Harvard. By 1979, they moved their company to Seattle and it was then that Gates sold IBM an operating system for their new PC, while still retaining the right to sell it to other computer makers. The genius of Gates’s plan was that he pretty much took existing technologies and adapting them to specific markets. Soon, Mircrosoft operating systems became standard on all new personal computers that were being built at the time.
