Nicols is the man in the top left corner of this photo. Although he enjoyed his stint as a Beatle, it soon came to an end after Ringo Starr recovered and rejoined the group in Melbourne. Nicols was then sent home, but not before he was given a gold watch as a token of gratitude from the Beatles and their manager, Brian Epstein.
