In 1976 Congress selected members to join the House Assassinations Committee (HSCA) to run their own investigation into the assassination of JFK, as well as Martin Luther King, Jr. The committee disagreed with the Warren Commission’s findings and concluded that there was a fourth shot fired. The claimed that another shooter was posted up on a grassy knoll behind a white picket fence, aiming at JFK. The HSCA said that shooter took a shot as well, but missed.

The evidence to this claim was two recordings from police channels. The HSCA believes they heard three shots coming from the direction of the School Bank Depository, and another from the grassy knoll, positioned to the right of JFK’s motorcade.
