People Who Are Nowhere Near Ready For Christmas
The holiday season is finally upon this. It's the busiest and most stressful time of year for anyone. Doing all that Christmas shopping and decorating can be a lot to take on. But then, there are people who arrive on the holiday bandwagon at the last minute. They put some effort in but they're nowhere near ready for Christmas. Hopefully, you can learn from the mistakes that these hapless people made.
Octopus Snowman
Is it just me, or does this Snowman sugar cookie from Starbucks look similar to an octopus? Actually though, if you look at it close enough, it's a reindeer cookie that's been placed upside down. They could have faced it the other way so we didn't have to confuse ourselves.
But who are we to judge if someone is a fan of octopus cookies at the holidays? You go ahead and celebrate Christmas with whichever animal shape you like best.
Such A Bad Gift
When Leo Blake Carter shared this photo, it was captioned "My sister really is the worst human ever." What deserves such a public shaming? Well, a gift this bad. After you unwrap it and open the box, you get a card that says "I couldn't afford a present this year so I got you this box."
She is the worst human ever. It's mean but funny at the same time since she is under the belief that she's some sort of comedic genius.
No Tree For You!
The cat looks really grumpy. It kind of looks like the cat went into the tree and demolished it like it was WWII. Now, that leaves us with one grumpy cat since the damage is done. Also, they will have to wait another 12 months to demolish the next Christmas Tree.
It's especially funny that they left a couple of ornaments at the top of the naked tree, like that makes it any more festive.
Boxes On Boxes
Receiving a gift that contains more than one box is such a tease. You'll never know what kind of gift you'll be getting. If you get one tiny thing, it's a complete waste of time going and opening all of those boxes.
We hope that this photo was taken before Christmas day and that this guy had a chance to get to the store and do some actual shopping to fill those boxes.
Sound The Alarm
The excitement of Christmas morning is like one big party for kids. As you get older, you at least try to sleep in past 7 AM. If you can't handle waking up that early, then go ahead and set more than one alarm.
What's even worse is when you're old enough that you like to go out with friends on Christmas Eve and maybe overindulge a bit. That's how you end up with this many alarms on Christmas morning.
At least They Tried
Redditor pimack posted this beauty. "No one at work has taken responsibility for decorating the Christmas tree, for the last week it has been propped up in its box waiting. Today, I stepped up to the plate."
This is truly the work of an artist. Something like this lazy effort should be considered genius and maybe be put on display at the museum. It really speaks to the generation these days.
Beats By Dray
Ahhh, we can only imagine what the person who opened up this gift was thinking. They had to be absolutely livid when they were expecting some top-of-the-line earbuds and got this hokey prank instead. Hopefully they had a sense of humor.
Next on their wish list: bears and Battlestar Galactica. Beats By Dre are way overpriced as it is as they cost more than anyone in their right mind should pay.
Oh Christmas Tree
Working at a hospital as a nurse can be exhausting. They don't have too much time on their hands since they're busy enough at it is. So when it comes to decorating for the holidays, they have to improvise by using what's available to make a tree.
And what's something that's readily available at the hospital? That's right, gloves! Let's just hope they're the latex-free kind, we don't need anyone having an allergic reaction at Christmas.
Christmas Dinner Is Ruined
Technology can be such a pain in the butt. This is what you get for getting a hoverboard for a gift, then having so much eggnog that you crashed it into the oven. Thanks to your shenanigans, Christmas dinner is ruined and the family will have to settle for Chinese food.
Which is actually not a bad thing at all. Maybe this hoverboard disaster was just the thing we needed to get through the holiday.
Nightmare Before Christmas
From the looks of it, this skeleton got spooked over the fact that the holidays are fast approaching. They might have even forgotten their Secret Santa gift too. Really though, whoever did this was lazy to the point where they forgot to remove their Halloween decorations.
Actually, this picture shows up a lot in stories about bad neighbors, because some people evidently find it tacky to leave skeletons out in the yard all year. Those people should find a hobby to focus on.
Amazing Gift Wrapping
The Redditor who posted this monstrosity had a great story to go with it. "I bought my wife a necklace for Christmas. The guy asked me if I would like it gift wrapped. I told him yes and asked him to make it look as horrible as possible," they wrote.
"He pulled out a roll of tape and said 'as you wish sir.'" Wow, that's customer service! We bet the wife was really surprised when she saw what was in this package.
Cat-Proofing Christmas
If you have a cat, you'll know what it's like when there's a Christmas tree in sight. They just love to climb the tree and hide, which is why these owners locked up their miniature tree. Just look at those beaming eyes from the cat. They clearly say "Challenge Accepted."
Yep, we have no doubt that this clever-looking kitty is going to find a way into that festive cage in no time at all. Merry Christmas, cat! You deserve to climb that tree.
Christmas Or Easter?
Reusing your penguins for other holidays is rather strange. It's lazy and cheap, but you aren't fooling anyone by making them think they're really rabbits. You have to wonder why their Easter lights aren't on and if their Easter Tree is fully decorated in time for the Easter Bunny.
We hope that this family just leaves the penguins out all year round and decorates them to match whatever holiday is on the horizon.
How Original
If you need to recycle this gift for whatever reason, relabel them as mints and give them to your least favorite cousin. It should be amusing to watch them pop a couple of these in their mouth... they're probably styrofoam or cardboard or something.
This has to be one of the worst gifts ever since the pet rock. Vase filler? What a worthless and pointless product. The nice packaging makes it even worse.
Christmas In Canada
"Ward, I want you to have a talk with the Beaver..." Haha, that would have been a funny line in Leave it to Beaver. This photo is a perfect description of Christmas in Canada. Every Canadian should have their own personal beaver specifically for this. They can easily chop down a tree at any tree farm, without us having to bend down and use a saw.
Once Christmas is over, all you have to do is replace the beaver with his good friend, the groundhog for Groundhog Day.
Respect The Turkey
Retail stores have a lot of nerve blaring Christmas music one day after Halloween. You know what? They need to be a little more patient. It makes much more sense to get into the Thanksgiving spirit first, then get into the Christmas spirit the second you wake up from that turkey coma.
We just wonder who's so upset by this holiday trend that they had a borderline-angry cake made for the event.
It's Not A Ring
This is the moment when they think they're getting an engagement ring but it's really a coffee cup. This trickery would crush any soul like no tomorrow. Due to this, we can just envision what happens next: your partner lightly hits you with the mug and you get a black eye.
But if anyone asks, you have the perfect answer. Just say you got mugged over the holidays... it's technically true.
I Gave My Love A Chicken
She's single, but not ready to mingle over the holidays. Since the most obvious part of her Christmas card is the chicken, let's look at the grammar of the card. The part of "Love Bridget" shows no comma, thus making it a desperate command for everybody out there to love Bridget.
Seriously though, we're glad that Bridget has met her chicken BFF. They're sure to have a nice holiday as long as they're together.
The Revenge Gift
A gift like this mug sums up how naughty one person can be in a year. It would be the ultimate revenge gift if they even put in some lumps of coal for being on Santa's bad list.
You better put a little more thought into the gifts you give people this year or you might end up on the receiving end of a mug like this. The elephant is even wielding a knife, so you know he means business.
