The Czech Republic and Slovakia haven’t been one entity since 1993 yet here we are still calling it by that name. It will forever be Czechoslovakia to anyone who was born in the 90s, yet our entire lives that literally hasn’t been a country. I think that the blame can be put on 30-year-old history textbooks we were working out of.
