2016 food fads seem to be centered around picture-worthy over-indulging desserts, because another trend that is populating Instagram feeds is milkshakes. But not your plain, ordinary milkshake with whipped cream and a cherry, these new milkshakes are the dessert drink of your dreams.

New York restaurant Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer has helped popularize these massive milkshakes, some topped with cotton candy, regular sized cookies, and a bunch of candies. Another rendition of this is the “Freakshake,” made by an Australian-based café called Pâtissez, where they top their milkshakes with slices of cake, brownies, and donuts.
