Watch These Titles Before Netflix Gives Them The Boot In December!
As the holiday's approach so too does colder weather, meaning it's the perfect time to snuggle up with loved ones on the couch and binge-watch some of your favorite movies and tv shows. Unfortunately, with the new year comes a mass exodus of some of Netflix's best.
If you're a fan of British Humor, say goodbye to Merlin, and if you thought you had more time to watch some of BBC's nature documentaries, think again. Come December, Netflix will be ushering out some beloved titles to make room for new content. Be sure to add these titles to your must-watch list before it's too late!
Say Goodbye To Blue Planet II
The first season of Blue Planet II is narrated and presented by naturalist Sir David Attenborough. The show documents the vastness and wonder of life in the oceans, a topic that never seems to go out of style. Unfortunately, his voice is going to be silenced on Netflix come December 2019.
He, along with the musical genius of Hans Zimmer, will no longer be available for your viewing pleasure. The good news is that Attenborough has a few other broadcasting gigs up his sleeve. So, if you're a fan of his style, don't be too upset.
It's All Over For Rain Man
If you haven't seen the masterpiece that is Rain Man, be sure to watch it before Netflix gives it the boot in December. The 1988 film follows two brothers, played by Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman, on a crazy adventure through Los Angeles and Los Vegas.
The twist in the movie is that Hoffman's character, Raymond, is an autistic savant, meaning he has certain abilities that are far from average. We're not going to spoil what those skills are exactly. You're just going to have to watch the movie to find out for yourself!
We Fear That Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas Is Leaving Netflix
Technically, this film is considered to be a financial failure. But if you're in the market to be part of a cult movie fandom, you're going to want to watch Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas. The film stars Johnny Depp and Benicio del Toro, two men who are under the influence of psychedelics while venturing through Los Vegas.
The visually creative film is getting the boot from Netflix in December, and we're not sure when it will be available again. You're not going to want to miss your chance to watch a film that was both praised and condemned!
Watch Out! George Of The Jungle 2 Is Leaving Netflix
Although it's not the original George of the Jungle, and there's no young Brendan Fraser to drool over, the sequel is still something you're going to want to see before it leaves Netflix. The plot picks up six years after Ursula leaves civilization to live with George in the jungle.
Things get a little crazy in the storyline when George and his family venture to Las Vegas: Ape develops a gambling problem and Ursula gets hypnotized into thinking she married her psycho ex-fiance. But we'll just let you watch the entire movie so you truly understand where we're coming from!
Star Wars: The Last Jedi Is Switching Platforms
As December 2019 brings us the last installment of the Star Wars saga, so too comes the end of The Last Jedi on Netflix. Granted, with the new streaming service Disney+, we're not going to have to be away from this film for too long.
It's reported that the movie will bounce its way to Disney+ at the end of the month, so don't worry young padawans, all will be right in the universe soon. That being said, if you want to watch the film before heading to theatres for the last movie, be sure to catch it on Netflix ASAP!
Get One Last Laugh Before Saying Goodbye To Daddy Day Care
Daddy Day Care is a family comedy that you don't want to miss out watching before it leaves Netflix in December. Eddie Murphy will have you doubled over laughing throughout the entire film. The story follows Murphy's character as he gets laid off and needs to find another form of income to help support his family.
So, obviously, running a daycare out of his home with some of his buddies is the best option. Even though critics gave the movie negative reviews, it's still worth watching before you no longer have a choice in the matter.
The Magic Of Merlin Is Leaving In December
Who doesn't love a good story about Arthur and his knights of the round table? Especially when it comes in the fabulous British humor that is Merlin. If you haven't seen this series before, we advise you to be "sick" for a week and binge-watch the entire series before it's too late.
The five-season series follows the adventures of Arthur and Merlin in the fictional land of Camelot. The best part is that the show is actually pretty educational, as it discusses a lot of mythology surrounding King Arthur lore. To say we're upset to see this show go would be an understatement.
Leap Year Is Taking A Bold Leap Leaving Netflix
Get a cup of hot cocoa, a fluffy blanket, and park yourself on the couch and watch the romantic comedy Leap Year. The 2010 film stars Amy Adams and Matthew Goode, of whom sports a swoon-worthy Irish accent. Adams' character travels to Ireland to propose to her boyfriend on leap day. As tradition states, a man cannot refuse a woman's proposal on that day.
Okay, that's a bit clinger-ish but she means well. You're not going to want to miss seeing what happens to Adam's character in this rom-com! Be sure to check it out before it leaves Netflix in December.
Pulp Fiction Is Getting The Boot
Yes, the Quentin Tarantino classic Pulp Fiction is getting the boot from Netflix this December. If you love or haven't seen the two hitmen Vincent Vega and Jules Winnfield have their philosophical discussions while on assignment, then you're going to want to get to your television as soon as you are able.
For a film that has a 92 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, we're actually surprised Netflix is letting it go. Too bad that they're going to have to deal with the fallout when angry Tarantino fans come busting down their door asking for an explanation!
Thor: Ragnarok Is Moving To Disney+
Thor: Ragnarok's licensing agreement with Netflix is finally coming to an end this December. But fear not loyal MCU fans, you're not going to be without the Norse god of thunder for too long. Once the film leaves Netflix it is going straight to Disney+, the last Marvel movie to hit the streaming service this year.
You're not going to be without Thor, Loki, or Hella, for more than a day. In what's arguably the funniest Marvel movie, we're excited that it is joining a majority of the franchise on the Disney-owned streaming platform. Who's ready for a movie marathon?
The Rocky Series Is Being Boxed Up And Shipped Out
Sorry, Sylvester Stallone fans, but all of the Rocky movies will be taken off of Netflix by the end of December. If you need to get your fix of the Philadelphia boxer, you're going to want to make moves pretty fast because of the phrases "ya know" and "Yo! Adrian!" are going to be a thing of the past.
From fighting Apollo Creed to avenging his death, Rocky Balboa brought us some of the best inspirational moments and quotes out there. Including one of our all-time favorites, "Nobody owes nobody nothing." Absolutely beautiful.
Be Sure To Watch Schindler's List Before Netflix Lets It Go
In the words of Helen from Seinfeld, "What did you think about the black and white?" The powerful movie Schindler's List starring Liam Neeson isn't exactly a feel-good film. That begin said, it is a movie that we think everyone should watch once in their life. Believe us when we say one time is enough.
The film is shockingly brutal, and the black and white only helps to emphasize the darkness of the time period. If you haven't seen it, we recommend watching it before Netflix gives it the boot in December. Pro tip: have a box of tissues handy.
Tears of the Sun Had Its Last Hurrah On Netflix
If you're a fan of Bruce Willis films, then be sure to take the time and watch Tears of the Sun before it leaves Netflix. The film follows a U.S. Navy SEAL team as they are sent into the middle of the Nigerian civil war on a rescue mission. Hans Zimmer also composed the score, so it's sure to be beautiful and suspenseful all at the same time.
The film is said to be a stylish action film. So, if that's the genre you typically lean towards while browsing Netflix, be sure to watch by the end of the month!
The Crow Is The Supernatural Thriller You Don't Want To Miss
The night before his wedding, musician Eric Draven and his fiance are brutally murdered by an inner-city gang. On the anniversary of their death, Eric rises from his grave to assume the Gothic mantle of the Crow, a supernatural avenger. He goes on to track down the people responsible for his death.
Yes, The Crow seems too good to be true, but with high ratings, it's definitely worth looking into before it's taken off of Netflix. Who doesn't like watching a Gothic zombie taking out bad guys? The good news is that there is a reboot in the works starring Jason Mamoa!
It's A Mystery Why The Pink Panther Is Leaving Netflix
Everyone needs a little Steve Martin and Beyonce in their life, and where else can you find that dynamic duo working together except for the movie Pink Panther. As the story goes, Inspector Jacques Clouseau is assigned to solve the murder of a famous soccer coach while attempting to find the famous Pink Panther diamond. We know, we were upset when we found out the Pink Panther wasn't an actual panther, too.
Alas, we're sad to say that this movie is on the list of content that Netflix is saying goodbye to in December. So, make sure to get your fix of Steve Martin's horrible accent before it's off Netflix!
You'll Be Sad To Hear That Winter Bone Is Leaving
The critically acclaimed film Winter Bone is spending its last winter on Netflix. Jennifer Lawrence's portrayal of the teenage Ree Dolly is something that you're not going to want to miss. The mystery drama follows Ree as she searches for her father in the hopes of keeping her family from being evicted. All because her criminal father puts their house up as part of his bail bond.
It's a lot to ask of a 17-year-old, but she doesn't have a choice if she wants to keep a roof over her family's heads. Trust us when we say this movie requires your attention.
It's Time To Say Goodbye To XXX: State of the Union
Two words: Ice Cube. Solely because the sassy rapper stars in XXX: State of the Union is reasoning enough for you to sit down and watch the flick. The movie is the second in the XXX franchise and deserves for you to take note of its excellence.
As the first installment of the series went, the film is action-packed and a bit campy when it comes to the CGI. Honestly, that's what makes the movie so great, though. Be sure to catch Ice Cube as the next Triple X agent before Netflix says goodbye to the movie.
Netflix Is Freezing Out Frozen Planet
Polar bears, Orcas, wolves, and penguins are the stars of Frozen Planet. But what would a BBC documentary be without the narration of Sir David Attenborough? He brings the viewers through the ecosystems of the Arctic and Antarctic, two landscapes that are still quite a mystery to humankind.
Unfortunately, the education brought to us by Sir Attenborough is being cut short, as Netflix is saying goodbye to the first season of the series. So, if you want to learn more about the frozen tundras on the opposite ends of the Earth, you're going to have to tune into BBC to catch an episode.
Watch Wet Hot American Summer Before It's Too Late
The silly satirical comedy that is Wet Hot American Summer is something that you don't want to miss out on watching. It features an all-star cast, including Bradley Cooper who was making his film debut! He's come a long way from a fictional summer camp, Camp Firewood, filled with angsty campers and high-stakes talent shows.
We'll be honest and tell you that the film didn't get the best reviews, but it has since become a cult classic, allowing for a prequel and sequel. You're not going to want to be left out, so be sure to watch the movie before Netflix gives it the boot!
Be Sure To Learn more About The Hunt Before It's Gone
The Hunt is unlike any other nature documentary, but, since it's on BBC, naturally Sir David Attenborough narrates. The series takes a detailed audio-visual study of the relationship between a predator and its prey as well as the importance of ecosystems in an ever-changing climate.
If you're interested in watching animals fight for survival in various environments, then you're going to want to watch a few episodes of The Hunt before it's no longer offered on Netflix. By December, the only place you're going to be able to find the series is if you have access to BBC.
