After playing both Angela Chase and Juliet, Claire Danes remained mum through most of the early 2000s. She jumped back on the scene in 2011, when she won a number of awards (including the much-coveted Golden Globe) for her depiction of autism spokesperson and scientist Temple Grandin in her eponymous biopic. That same year, Danes yet again became a mainstay on the small screen when she landed the role of bipolar CIA operations officer Carrie Mathison in the primetime drama Homeland. Danes’ depiction of Mathison is multi-layered, and the skill at which she navigates and often unreliable narrator scored her two Golden Globes, two Primetime Emmys, and a SAG award among others.
