These Female Icons Are Dominating TV Screens Once Again
Now: Julia Louis-Dreyfus Is The Woman In Chief
Julia Louis-Dreyfus is an undeniable comedic actor with an affinity for depicting a strong woman in a room full of men. The actress managed to take the best parts of Elaine Benes and squash them into her character on the HBO hit Veep. Louis-Dreyfus plays Selena Meyer, America’s Vice President, and the straight-up POTUS. Her depiction of navigating the White House as a woman in charge won her six back-to-back Emmy award wins, breaking the record for most Emmy Awards won by a single performer for one role.
Sadly, in September of 2017, Louis-Dreyfus announced that she was diagnosed with breast cancer and vowed to fight for universal healthcare.
