Julia Louis-Dreyfus may have been born into wealth (her father is businessman Gerard C. Louis-Dreyfus with a net worth of over $3.4 billion), but that doesn’t mean her fame was bought. Her undeniably hysterical portrayal of Elaine Benes in the hit sitcom Seinfeld catapulted her into fame. The show aired from 1990 to 1998 and remains one of the most beloved sitcoms of all time (you can still catch the reruns airing nearly 20 years later). The series garnered the actress numerous awards including three Screen Actors Guild Awards, a Golden Globe and a Critics’ Choice Award.

Louis-Dreyfus didn’t catch another starring role for a while, but she was definitely hard at work. The actress appeared in multiple episodes of Arrested Development as Maggie Lizer and has appeared on Saturday Night Live multiple times since the 1980s.
