Now: Alexis Bledel Finally Won Her Emmy For The Handmaid’s Tale

2016 and 2017 were the years for Alexis Bledel. The actress got married and had a child, but she also starred in the wildly successful Gilmore Girls reboot, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. Still, it was the actress’s new endeavors that finally landed Bledel her Emmy – and the character she played could not be further from Rory Gilmore’s roots. Bledel won the award for the mysterious role of Ofglen, a lesbian member of the resistance in the Netflix series The Handmaid’s Tale, which details a dystopian world where fertile women are enslaved to reproduce for the wealthy.
