Lily Tomlin is nominated for lead actress in a comedy series for her work on Grace and Frankie. This is Grace and Frankie‘s only Emmy nomination this year. I’m not sure why Lily Tomlin was nominated and not Jane Fonda. I think they both performed equally well in this Netflix series.

I don’t think Lily really has a chance in this category though. Not because she isn’t a great actress (she is), but because the other acting roles in this category are so much more complex.
