Long before the Emmys finally recognized RuPaul, Wall Street did. On February 24, 2014, Ru was chosen by Viacom to represent the company and ring the closing bell for NASDAQ on Wall Street.

Even though it was a promotional event for the season premiere of Drag Race, the choice to have Ru ring the bell is a testament to how successful his show has been over other shows on the Viacom network.
